Company goals and future plan (2023-2027)

Within the framework of the interest of His Excellency Mr. / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the mining industry, and under the directives of His Excellency Eng. / Tarek El-Molla - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

In order to promote the company and transform it into a strong self-reliant mining economic entity, reduce expenses and open new fields and horizons for increasing income, development and gaining expertise, a five-year future plan (2023-2027) was drawn up. This plan was based on three main axes:

The first axis: Expanding exploration and evaluation operations to confirm and increase the phosphate ore reserves needed for the manufacture of phosphate fertilizers, as well as studying and evaluating the areas of oil shale.

The second axis: Maximizing the added value of mineral ores by establishing:

  • A line for the production of monophosphate fertilizers (SSP), triple (TSP) and fertilizer (NPK).
  • Line for separating and producing sand kaolin.

The third axis: Purchase of equipment for research, operation and production (drilling machine - loaders - dumpers - dumpers - crusher).

The first axis: exploration and evaluation to confirm and increase reserves

Assessment and confirmation of mineral reserves (30 million tons) of phosphate ore

In continuation of the company's pioneering role in supplying national companies with mineral ores, especially phosphate ore, the company commissioned during this year from the Ministry within the scope of the work of the technical committee formed to confirm the reserves of phosphate ore as follows

Selection and intensification of excavation work in the southern region of Wadi Al-Shaghb.

Contract area: 12 km².

Excavation lengths: 7000 linear meters, which can be increased according to need.

The area has been divided into three sectors as follows:

section (A) It has an area of 3 km² in the first phase, and it is located in the western part of the contract.

section (B) It covers an area of 3 km² in the first phase, and it is located in the middle of the contract.

section (C) It has an area of 6 km², a second phase, and it is located in the eastern part of the contract.

A network of wells (100 meters) has been drilled x 100 meters) for the entire contract area.

Evaluation and confirmation of mineral reserves (5 million tons) of phosphate ore

And through the results of drilling exploratory wells in the region, the following was done:

Studying the geology of the region and characterizing the rock formations (stratigraphy) and the geological structures in the region (Stratigraphic & Structure Pattern).

Concentration quality (%P2O5) and the thickness of the phosphate ore.

decrease in the thickness of the rock cover (Overburden).

Geological reserves: 10 million tons.

Average crude concentration: 26.5%.

Confirmed mineral reserves so far: 2.5 million tons.

Excavation and evaluation work is still being intensified to confirm the required reserves.

The second axis: studying and evaluating the areas where the oily girl is present (Oil Shale)

Within the framework of the state's keenness to meet the increasing demand for energy and fulfill the needs of sustainable economic development plans, by working to develop and diversify new sources of energy generation within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030.

The company is currently in cooperation with the technical committee formed by the Ministry to study the feasibility of using oil clay as follows:

Inventory of all studies and data on the presence of the oily girl in Egypt.

Study and analyze the results of previous studies and consider the possibility of updating and benefiting from them.

Comprehensive assessment of all reserves and chemical analyzes

Preparing a preliminary study of the needs of the local and global market, and the previous experiences of countries to determine the supply and demand for oil shale raw materials.

Preparing a study on the presence of oil shale and determining the reserves and heat content of the Dakhla region in the New Valley - Western Desert.

Preparing a road map for the optimal exploitation of oil shale and associated economic raw materials to maximize added value.

The third axis: the purchase of equipment for research, operation and production

  • Drilling machine for phosphate and oil shale ores research
  • Operating equipment (loaders - dampers - tippers)
  • Line for crushing, concentrating and producing phosphate ore (crusher)

Drilling machine for phosphate and oil shale ores research

The drilling machine operates with systems (WLC- RCD- RC)

The machine digs medium and hard rocks

Excavation depth (500 linear meters) below the surface

Operating equipment (loaders - dampers - tippers)
